I began my Friday morning working with Lucy and Laurie at the front desk to put everything together for the long weekend. I met the appraiser over on Walters Avenue to move forward with the mortgage process. Came back to the office, did some more work with Lucy, and had my meeting with Don Pagano, Martha Venditto, and Jo Ann and Nick Mardikos. Don is the Lieutenant Governor of Metropolitan Division New York Kiwanis International, Martha is the co-chair of the Shoe Collection Drive, along with myself and Jo Ann. Jo Ann is also the Secretary of the Richmond County Kiwanis Club, and her husband Nick is the President. We meet every Monday night at La Cantana where the greatest group of people gives of themselves for the sake of the children. Our shoe program began this weekend with the collection of gently used shoes, and our strategy meeting on Friday evening helped initiate a strong marketing objective so everyone can know about the shoe drop-offs. From there, I met up with Frank to see our grandsons, Frank and Nick Reali, play their varsity basketball game against Tottenville High School, where the boys and the entire team played their hearts out, and won. Yay!
Saturday began early with an outstanding referral to a beautiful home in Great Kills, coming on the market shortly. Watch for my blog to be the first to see it, and make sure you are following me on Facebook! Back to the office to do some paperwork, and run some errands for my mom, while Frank was at the NJ office rearranging things. Then at 3:30, over to Annadale to a 4000+ square foot, custom built, center hall colonial, with ten foot basement ceilings, finished beautifully. The home boasts radiant heat floors and four huge bedrooms. Get ready for this one to hit the market shortly, or begin your home search today at Safari Realty Online.
Back home for dinner with the grandkids, and after eating, Frank watched a movie with them, while I prepared for the things I had to do to get ready for my surgery on Monday.
On Sunday morning, after working with Marlena, I interviewed a wonderful new agent that’s coming on board. At 1, Anthony Carlo from NY1 came to our office at 1958 Victory Boulevard to interview me and the other co-chairs of the shoe drive for Kiwanis. It was aired on NY1, giving us the exposure we need for this important mission. No more food for me after 5:30 p.m., because tomorrow morning is my surgery. Be on the look-out for my very fashionable hospital attire!
Please keep in mind from January 1 – March 30, Kiwanis is collecting gently used and new shoes (for both underprivileged adults and children). If you would like to be a part of this wonderful cause, please deliver them in plastic bags, rubber-banded in pairs, to 1958 Victory Boulevard, our Safari Real Estate Office. And remember, It’s Always a Woman’s Right to Shoes!
